In the new issue of Prog Magazine, Andy is quoted as saying, '' Oh yes, I've re-recorded it, and that's been a challenge! I wanted to keep to the original as much as I could but also I wanted to invest some new things in it, to see if I could improve it. I've re-orchestrated it with Denis, our drummer, so that's been fun. I've written some new bits for it, I think. I've lengthened some of the quieter pieces, but when people listen to it, it has the same feel. It's very true to the original but it's got a lot of new things in it that I hope people will enjoy. It's been a bit of a rush, like it always is in the rock 'n' roll world but we're doing artwork now, so it should be available on the tour. I think people will like it''

Since the release date will probably be 5th of october, maybe it will be possible to obtain a copy before the tour starts. So we can all have a listen and judge it. I think that mr. Latimer's viewpoint towards quality will make sure the new recording will not disappoint us. By the way,according to the interview with Andy in Eclipse Magazine, the next album in the making won't be disapproved by fans of "The Snowgoose" or "Moonmadness". Sound like a sort of return to the old days.

Anybody up for giving a full review of the new version? I'm definitely going to buy a copy, but I think a written review of the album might whet my appetite for now ;)

Sorry, been rather busy, and thought I posted something somewhere already, turns out I did not
I really enjoy the new Goose. It has more depth (to my ears). The orchestral parts obviously come from electronics now, but they're very nicely done. Some parts have had the Andy "overhaul", (and notes say "Revised") but even those are quite true to the original. But the best is the sound quality. So much better that the original, which I always thought lacked clarity. Thinny sounds. Even the so-called re-masters.
