Hello all,

maybe you can help me. I was browsing through my Camel bootleg collection when I stumbled across a unplugged recording of Send Home the Slates. It has been added as last track to the bootleg Live in Warsaw, Poland, 06-04-1997, Sala Kongresowa but certainly wasn't recorded the same evening. While the quality of the Warsaw gig is very well (radio show?), the unplugged version of SHtS is a very bad analog tape recording. It's is simular to a recording of a dutch radio show I made myself on minidisc but because of the bad quality I can't tell if it's the same show. Who owns the same Warsaw bootleg and knows the details of the last track, the unplugged Send Home the Slates? Thanks a lot.

The info file in my collection says about the last 3 (bonus) tracks:

30 : Lady Fantasy (Hala Wisly, Krakow 5th April 1997)
31. Spirit of the Water (acoustic - Dutch Radio "Two Meter Sessions)
32. Send Home The Slates (acoustic - Dutch Radio "Two Meter Sessions)

Thanks Eric,

that clears things up! Didn't know that Lady Fantasy was recorded somewhere else and I missed the acoustic version on 'Spirit' because I was skipping through the songs and the intro of that song always features the piano. Luckily I've recorded the acoustic set Camel played as a trio myself in good quality on 30th of march '97. I recall being thrilled Camel was played on dutch national radio. The recording contains a short (funny) interview, Spirit of the water, Send Home the Slates and Eyes of Ireland. The last song is not complete because of a commercial/news break. Apart from some FM-noise the quality is fine. Maybe I'll delete the version included in the Warsaw bootleg.

30 March 1997.
According to the Tour Table this session was recorded at the "Paard" in The Hague.
I don't have this recording and I also don't see it on the Recording Index, so I assume it's quite rare.
Which will lead me to the inevitable question: would you be willing to share your recording? :)

Sure, I'm willing to share. Do you have any preference where to upload the tracks? The session itself was recorded in the 'Audio1' studio of the dutch national radio on the afternoon prior to the "Paard van Troje" gig in The Hague. Actually it was broadcasted live. The radio show was called "Twee Meter Sessies".
