As it's not allowed to link to direct downloads, but it is allowed to link to websites (torrent trackers or blogs), I'd like to share using bittorrent. I'm on Yeeshkul and dimeadozen. I'm also on Planet Rock, but I'm a bit hesitant to upload there because their minimum required info policy is a bit too much for me, as I don't have all the info about certain roio's they require. Other suggestions for torrent trackers are also welcome, of course. :)
I want to be honest, using the exchange offer and create your own torrent on a single platform is not quite my thing, I to this day feel it as much too complicated (maybe I'm just too stupid).
Eric, I'll try it out in the next few days your guide. Perhaps there is someone who writes me a German-language instruction.
Planet Rock is new to me, thanks for the hint lte.
A good site I use from time to time is The Trader's Den. It also requires stuff like the linneage of a recording, but I think it is OK to include phrases like "audience > ? > trade CDR". Important thing is to be upfront about your source even if the origin is uncertain.
For Camel I voted for the Floyd site Yeeshkul! (other artists section) as the best beacuse a) it is a nice friendly place and b) Camel probably have more in common with Floyd than any other group, hence there are lots of crossover fans.
I forgot about TTD... I think mentioning lineage is a very good thing, of course, but PR requires a bit too much, imnsho. Dime also requires lineage but they accept it when some things are just plain unknown, like in your example.
