Although this doesn't quite fit in the PT section, I couldn't find a better place for this :P
I have fallen in love with the new Steven Wilson record. I myself despise the entirety of Porcupine Tree's catalog of music, and for the most part that is true of the solo work of Steven Wilson. However, "The Raven that Refused to Sing" has really struck a chord with me. Perhaps its due to the number of guest musicians and the lack of Wilson's own playing on the record.
Guthrie Govan is truly an amazing guitarist, Nick Beggs a great stick player, and Minneman has great chops on drums. The studio version of "Luminol" blows my mind with not only the actual composition, but the sheer quality of sound. Wilson knows what he's doing when making a clean, and clear sounding album.
"The Holy Drinker" is another favorite of mine from the album, and it is one of the more progressive songs on the album. Any of you guys listened to the record at all? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
