No, please no! Please do not be offended , but for crap you can , even if you convert it , do not make gold.
This is absolutely physically impossible. MP3 is probably the worst format you can choose to music files because it is fraught with immense losses during compression. These losses later, you can not wipe out , by converting it to a lossless format. That would be witchcraft.
MP3 is a revolution for industrial application . These include MP3 players, mobile phones , commercial download portals etc.
The true bootleg collectors will have nothing to do with it. That is a fact .
The same applies to films. Here is the MP4 format.
P.S. And one more thing : Who invites on Hot Pink Camel.de bootlegs download (FLAC format) and converts them to MP3 and also brings into circulation , which will be officially reprimanded in the forum. Should not the one belonging to the forum , the download page is set !
For it may well be that someone comes back to the idea that the FLAC format to convert back . This would be a purely external FLAC , but physically flawed.
Totally agree with Michael. If you rip music from a youtube movie, you'll get a lossy file. You don't make it lossless by converting it to FLAC. The best thing would be, to get the source files - the files the movie on youtube were sourced from.
Ridiculous discussion, bootlegs from a live audience are sonically never any good anyway. I've seen remarks in the accompanied text or nfo files like: "Recorded from the floor" .. yeah, those really need to be in flac... come on.

Okay, if you can find this ridiculous discussion, that's okay too. Some people are already having a good time with little effort.
I refer in the discussion but generally on bootlegs. Some (unfortunately few) are of such a very good (brilliant) and many quality of a good quality.
It is not necessary to make a good quality from poor to convert it later against all logic back into Flac.
P.S. I find no discussion in progress here is "ridiculous". The word "ridiculous" unfortunately devalues the whole thing. That is not necessary ....

So many people, so many opinions. You have yours, I have mine. Let's respect each other's.
A recording from the floor might be a fragile recording. Why degrade it even more by converting it to mp3? On the other hand, I've heard many audience recordings that easily beat recordings taken from a radio broadcast.
And those mini-gaps with mp3 files are very annoying.
